Drugs For Treatment Of Bone Diseases

Indication Dosage

Reduction Of Bone Damage In Bone Metastases In Breast Cancer: 

  • Adult: 50 Mg Daily, Alternatively (by IV infusion) 6 Mg Every 3-4 Weeks 

Hypercalcemia Of Malignancy: 

By IV Infusion: 

  • Adult: 2-4 Mg As A Single Infusion, Dose To Be Adjusted According To Serum Calcium Concentration 

Treatment Of Postmenopausal Osteoporosis: 

  • Adult (Female): 150 Mg Once A Month, Alternatively (by IV Injection) 3 Mg Every 3 Months, To Be Administered Over 15-30 Seconds. 
  • Children: Not Recommended.

Content

  • Inj 2mg /6mg: Per ml: Ibandronic Acid 1mg: 2mg (2 ml Amp), 6mg (6 ml Vial).
  • Inj 3mg: Per ml: Ibandronic Acid 1mg: 3 ml Pre-Filled Syringe.
  • Tab 50mg /150mg: Ibandronic Acid 50mg /150mg

Pregnancy

Contraindicated In Pregnancy.

  • Bisphosphonate

Contra Indications

  • Hypersensitivity, Children, Hypocalcaemia, With Oral Use; Abnormalities Of The Oesophagus, Other Factors Which Delay Emptying (e.g. Stricture Or Achalasia)
