Pantoprazole is a medication that belongs to the class of proton pump inhibitors (PPIs). It is used to treat conditions related to excessive acid production in the stomach such as gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), stomach and intestinal ulcers, and Zollinger-Ellison syndrome.
