Indication Dosage

Sodium picosulfate is a type of stimulant laxative used for several indications, including:

  • Constipation: Sodium picosulfate works by irritating the intestinal wall and promoting bowel movements, which can help relieve constipation.
  • Bowel Cleansing: Sodium picosulfate is sometimes used as a bowel cleanser prior to medical procedures or surgeries, as it helps to clear the bowel of stool and reduce the risk of infection.
  • Hemorrhoids: Sodium picosulfate is sometimes used as a treatment for hemorrhoids, as it can help soften stools and promote bowel movements, which can relieve symptoms such as pain and itching.

Dosage:

  • Drop for Adults: 10-15 Drops At Bed Time. 
  • Drop for Children: 2-5 Drops At Bed Time. 
  • Tab for Adults: Tab - 1 Tab At Bed Time. 
  • Tab for Children: Not Recommended.

  • Drop Per ml: Sodium Picosulphate 7.5mg.
  • Tab: Sodium Picosulphate 5mg.

  • Nausea
  • Vomiting
  • Angioedema
  • Pruritus
  • Rash
  • Syncope. Prolonged Or Excessive Use Can Cause Diarrhoea And Hypokalaemia.
