Drugs For ConstipationIndication Dosage
Tegaserod is a type of medication used for several indications, including:
- Constipation: Tegaserod is used to treat chronic constipation in adults, by promoting bowel movements and increasing the frequency of bowel movements.
- Irritable Bowel Syndrome with Constipation (IBS-C): Tegaserod is used to treat irritable bowel syndrome with constipation (IBS-C) in women, by improving symptoms such as abdominal pain and discomfort, bloating, and infrequent bowel movements.
Dosage:
- Adults: 6 Mg Twice Daily Prior To A Meal For 12 Wk.
- Children: Not Recommended.

- Hypersensitivity To Tegaserod.
