Beta-Lactam Anti-bacterials, PenicillinsIndication Dosage
Infections Due To Pseudomonas And Proteus Species:
By IV Infusion:
- Adult: 3.2 G Every 6-8 Hours; Increased If Necessary To3.2 G Every 4 Hours, For More Severe Infections
- Children: 80 Mg/kg Six To Eight Hourly; Neonates, 80 Mg/kg 12 Hourly,
Children Above 40 Kg Same As Adult Dose.
Septicaemia, Bone Infection:
By IV Infusion:
- Adults: 200-300 Mg/kg/day Ticarcillin Given Every 4-6 Hr.
- Children 3 Month Less Than 60 Kg Body Weight: 50 Mg/kg/day Ticarcillin Given Every 4 Hr; Above 60 Kg Body Weight: 3.2 Gm Every 4-6 Hr.
