Therapeutic Group
Blood Glucose Lowering Drugs, Excluding InsulinIndication Dosage
Type 2 Diabetes Not Controlled By Metformin Alone, Or In Triple Therapy With A Sulphonylureas:
- Adult: Initially 1 Tab Of 2 Mg/1000 Mg Tab, Twice Daily With Meals Or Right After Meals. Increase To 2 Tab Of 2 Mg/500 Mg Tab Or 1 Tab Of 4 Mg/1000 Mg Tab Twice Daily After 8 weeks if Greater Glycaemic Control Is Required. As Per Requirement, This Medicine May Be Used To Substitute Concomitant Rosiglitazone And Metformin In Existing Dual Or Triple Therapy.
- Children: Not Recommended.

- Tab 1 /500mg: Rosiglitazone (as Maleate) 1mg, Metformin Hydrochloride 500mg.
- Tab 2 /500mg: Rosiglitazone (as Maleate) 2mg, Metformin Hydrochloride 500mg.
- Tab 4 /500mg: Rosiglitazone (as Maleate) 4mg, Metformin Hydrochloride 500mg.
Pregnancy
Contraindicated In Pregnancy.

- Cardiac Failure Or History Of Cardiac Failure, Respiratory Failure, Recent Mi, Shock, Hepatic Impairment, Alcohol Intoxication, Alcoholism, Diabetic Ketoacidosis, Renal Impairment, Dehydration, Severe Infection, Acute Coronary Syndrome.
